PAA’s Bad Apple list

(Our list is in formation as we begin this new program naming a Bad Apple each month. Please look at the bottom of this page for other similar lists, for further information, and to find out how you can nominate a Good or Bad Apple.)

The following are the individuals, programs, organizations, corporations, foundations, etc. that PAA considers to have taken action/s that harm public school families. We don’t necessarily oppose everything each of those listed below have ever done; we try to be quite specific about the reason they appear on this list.

PAA’s Bad Apples list:

Wal*Mart (February 2018)

Other lists:

EdWatch: EdWatch is an evolving searchable database constructed to illuminate the connections between wealthy individuals, the proliferation of tax-exempt nonprofit organizations, and policies that divert massive sums of both public and private money to these ventures.

ALEC Exposed: Page On Education Policy reveals how ALEC bills would privatize public education, crush teacher’s unions, and push American universities to the right. List of ALEC members here.

Nominate candidates for the Good Apple and Bad Apple awards!

  • Send your nominees and a brief explanation of why you have nominated them to
  • We’d also love for our chapters and affiliates to give out your own local Good and Bad Apple awards. We can also post them on our web site.
