Why Now?

Public concern about public schools has reached fever pitch, but the national debate has been skewed by a few powerful players with a fixed agenda. The parent perspective has been almost entirely missing in the policy proposals put forward by the US Department of Education and those running many running urban school districts across the nation.

To this day, many of the practices and proposals imposed on schools throughout the country are being based neither on solid research nor supported by most public school parents.
